Russia: Hit the Road
The Summer School in Russian studies “Russia: Hit the Road” invites foreign students to explore the utmost qualities of globalization by witnessing the mobility and growth of metropolitan cities of the Russian Federation, the largest country in the world. During three weeks students will visit St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Ekaterinburg — the three leading urban centers to showcase the highest human, labor, industrial, cultural, and economic capacities of Russia. Like modern pilgrims, they will learn Russian language "on the road" with the best tutors of the Ural Federal University, will follow the famous Russian train journey and have a unique opportunity to measure the impact of globalization in Russia on preserving territorial and linguistic identities, the balance between the "local" and the "global", and the dynamics of development together with life peculiarities in different regions of Russia.
School manager Kseniia (email@example.com) and the school director Maria (firstname.lastname@example.org) will help you with visa support and having a short Skype-interview to determine the language group that corresponds to the level of proficiency in Russian as well as with all questions you might ask!
