The main aim of the program “Russian Woman – Russian Power“ is to highlight the role of Russian women in Russia’s socio-political, cultural and economic spheres. From imperial Russia to Soviet times and to the present day, we will focus on the role of Russian women in shaping their lives and the lives of others in various aspects of Russian reality.
Thus, the school participants will consider Russian women, representing the female political history of Russia, starting from the 10th century, to the Soviet times, when She was given equal rights with men in all spheres of economic, state, cultural, social and political life. Finally, participants will focus on the role and place of women in contemporary Russia, as well as learn about women’s rights and feminist activism in Russia today.
In addition, the School participants will have a unique opportunity to meet Russian women who have achieved great success in sport and literature. Thus, Anna Negasheva, two-time world champion in synchronized skating, will be one of the special guests of the Winter School, as well as famous young poet Egana Jabbarova.
Conditions
Classes are held in groups of 5-9 students according to Russian language level (A0-C1).
Classes are held in distance learning form using web-portal Elearn of Ural Federal University and ZOOM.
The advantage of Online School is that all lectures are recorded and uploaded on the School's Google Drive.
Time of classes: Ekaterinburg (GMT+5).
Main classes:
30 academic hours of Russian language (2 academic hours per day, 5 times per week)
Classes of your choice:
Lectures and Seminars on Russian Studies (1-2 academic hours, 5 times per week).
1 academic hour = 45 minutes
